Eating seasonally

Choosing to purchase seasonal produce has several advantages for the economy and the environment, as well as individual health.  It reduces the demand for out-of-season produce, instead relying on food that can be grown in the local climate.  This means that food can be grown locally, rather than being transported across the world from different climates.

Eating seasonally ensures a varied diet, as different fruits and vegetables come into season throughout the year.  This increases the likelihood of consuming a diverse assortment of vitamins.
